Muzaffarpur, the second-largest city in Bihar, is a major commercial and administrative hub in northern India. With a population exceeding one million people across its municipal wards, the city faces significant public-health challenges from vector-borne diseases — particularly during monsoon and post-monsoon seasons when stagnant water provides ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Nagar Nigam Muzaffarpur (Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation), under the Swachh Bharat Mission, undertook a strategic initiative to procure vehicle-mounted thermal fogging machines capable of conducting city-wide anti-mosquito operations across all wards. The corporation sought a robust, high-capacity solution deployable on short notice during disease outbreaks.
